Wining and dining at The Hermitage

The Hermitage offers several areas to dine or enjoy a refreshing beverage.

The award-winning Panorama Room has the reputation of being one of New Zealand’s best restaurants.  Since opening its doors in 1969, its continued success can be attributed its superb cuisine using only the freshest of local ingredients, the finest standards of service and absolutely stunning views of Aoraki Mount Cook.  (photos and link to PDF menu)

Next door, the Alpine Restaurant offers sumptuous buffets with a vast array of international cuisine and a stunning vista of Aoraki Mount Cook from every seat. (photos)

The Sir Edmund Hillary Alpine Centre Café and Bar (link to Centre page) provides a unique and inspiring atmosphere in which to refresh, refuel and relax.  Specialising in classic Kiwi fare with a modern twist, it also offers floor to ceiling views of Aoraki Mount Cook, New Zealand’s tallest mountain, from indoor or outdoor seating.

COMING SOON! In the early evenings, the bar hosts wine tastings and Cocktails at Sunset for guests to enjoy unparalleled sunset views to Mount Sefton and Aoraki Mount Cook.

Curl up and relax in front of an open log-fire at the Snowline Bar or enjoy a drink, pub meal, game of pool and big screen TV at the Chamois Bar, the locals’ favourite.
