The accommodation and service experienced and the weather combined to give us an excellent break. An excellent evening dinner. Well worth our wait of 40 years to return to the location.

Wonderful views, courteous staff, and very nice rooms
Our overall experience was very good. It was nice to stay in a modern clean hotel again. Everything in our room was fresh and neat. Especially the room itself, regarding the room physicals. The bathroom was very clean and modern and the room itself looked very new.

Fabulous!
Without exception we all enjoyed our experience at the Hermitage, getting the beautiful book left for us in our room so we could remember our honeymoon was for us a very personal touch. We will return, with luck we will get to see Mt Cook next time!

Remote luxury
Stay in the new part if you can, called Aoraki Wing. It's got amazing views of Mt Cook and the glaciers. Rooms are very large and luxurious with huge King beds. An amazing location, miles from anywhere so you feel like you're on an island. The keas (parrots) are very cute and kept our kids amused for ages!

Excellent Location
Great new refurbished motel rooms. Excellent that we could access the Hermitage Hotel restaurants and have breakfast looking into some fabulous views. Will stay again.

"You were fantastic. The staff were extremely helpful. We had a traumatic experience getting there through the snow. However, when we arrived the room was large and comfortable, and the view the next morning of Mt. Cook was dramatic. The dinner that night was superb. In fact, in my opinion it was the best meal that we had during our stay in New Zealand. Your staff should be complemented on their attention to service. We did not want to leave the next morning. I rate our experience as the best during our stay in New Zealand. Thank you for your professionalism." DOYLE GEORGE – July 2004
